It has dominated homes, offices, hospitals, factories, assembly companies, department stores and even large industrial companies. Wire shelves are made out of thin metal wires assembled to be used as filing shelves, display shelves or mobile shelves.

Wire shelves are convenient to use for they are easy to be assembled, detached, cleaned and adjusted. Most of these kinds of shelves are assembled without the use of tools. Parts are simply attached to each other in a way that a puzzle is being assembled. The ends of the metal wires are specifically designed to fit the appropriated hole in the other wire to ensure that the ends are securely attached. They are attached into trusses to increase their load capacity. They are easy to be adjusted or detached because many of these shelves are not screwed or mounted permanently. They are just connected through holes or clips. They are also easy to clean since they can be dismantled and re-assembled in an instant.

Many wire shelves are made out of rust-proof metal or aluminum wires. Some even use light but durable metals to make them handy and mobile. These kinds of shelves are mostly used in department stores and other storage areas to facilitate transportation of goods and stocks. Display shelves are usually made up of more durable metal wires. Rubberized mats are usually attached to each level for convenient and safe storage. These mats help in ensuring that objects being piled up or transported will not slip or slide. Some wire shelves are also designed to be kept in small spaces. They can be folded so that they would even fit the side of cabinets or under your beds.
